EMI101 - MIL-STD-461 EMI/EMC Measurement Program

This program gives the required initial background for performing MIL-STD-461 measurements. This program could also be of use to those desiring a basic introduction to EMI/EMC measurements. The program consists of the following courses:

• EE103 - Introduction to the decibel (dB)
• MEAS404 - Introduction to Antenna Measurement Concepts
• EE400 - Introduction to EMC/EMI
• MEAS460 - Introduction to MIL-STD-461 CE Measurements
• MEAS461 - Introduction to MIL-STD-461 RE Measurements
• MEAS462 - Introduction to MIL-STD-461 CS Measurements
• MEAS463 - Introduction to MIL-STD-461 RS Measurements

MIL-STD-461 consists of requirements for four different types of measurement:

• Conducted Emissions - CE
• Radiated Emissions - RE
• Conducted Susceptibility - CS
• Radiated Susceptibility - RS

This program starts with a series of prerequisite courses, followed by courses on the four topics listed above. Basic familiarity with algebra is expected, but it is appropriate for all interested in this type of measurement.
