MEAS252 - Introduction to Photonics

Photonics concerns itself with the quantum nature of light. That is that light is made of particles called photons. This course is about the measurement of photons, and the associated units.

This is the second of three courses on radiometry, photometry, and photonics. Radiometry concerns itself with the measurement of electromagnetic radiation of all types. Photonics concerns itself with the quantum nature of light. Photonics concern basically is with counting photons.
