MEAS251 - Introduction to Photometry

Photometry concerns itself with visible light. Visible means as perceived by the human eye, so is tied to the response of the human eye and its perception of this portion of the electromagnetic spectrum.

This is the second of three courses on radiometry, photometry, and photonics. Radiometry concerns itself with the measurement of electromagnetic radiation of all types. Photonics concerns itself with the quantum nature of light. Photonics concern basically is with counting photons.
