MEAS103 - SI Units - The meter

In this course we will discuss the meter and some of the measurement units that can be derived from length and time. The course is divided into the following sections:

• Introduction
• History of the meter
• Definition of the meter
• Realization of the meter
• Derived Units
  • Area
  • Volume
  • Speed, Acceleration, Jerk, etc...
  • Wave Number
  • Volumetric Flow Rate
• Summary

The only prerequisite for this course is MEAS102. Most of this course is accesible with an understanding of algebra. There is a section that mentions concepts from calculus, but it is there for reference, and is not required to pass the course.
