This is an introductory course on the vector network analyzer. The vector network analyzer (VNA) has as its basic function the measurement of S-parameters. It can make a number of other related measurements as well. In this course we review the concept of S-parameters, talk about the basics of the use and calibration of the VNA, and some of its applications.
Familiarity with basic RF and microwave measurement concepts is assumed, as well as some knowledge of algebra and complex numbers.
